He smiled at her. He could see the fright in her eyes, and he was glad she didn't try to hide it. His own guts were twisting uncomfortably, and it showed by his ears and tail flicking non-stop. But he kept his smile. Somehow, it seemed like nothing could touch them. Like, even if all the rest of the world were thrown into turmoil, they wouldn't be touched. He knew it was stupid to think like that, but it was comforting. He pressed his forehead against her neck, whickering softly,"It'll be fine."

Iamar was reassured by his smile, and slowed a bit so she was next to him, no longer slightly infront. She nickered to him quietly. "I know," giving him a small smile of her own. Even though she was scared, she felt safe with Blue. Lightning streamed down far infront of them, followed by the horrid crash of thunder that seemed to be more frequent, and louder. The rain progressed, along with the wind. Both taking up more speed.

It started to sound like some giant horses, bigger then any other horse that ever lived, were galloping across the heavens and making that rolling noise that never seemed to stop. Lightning flashed, momentarily blinding Blue, and he blinked. There were spots on her eyes as the after-effect of the rapid flashes that were there and gone almost before he had time to register they had ever even existed. It was almost scary. The way the light was constantly flashing and making it hard to see, he couldn't know what was coming up from behind. He relied on his smell and instincts, for the thunder drowned out everything except for the pounding of Blue's heart in his chest. But he wasn't scared, only very, very wary, and ready to act at the slightest hint of real danger.

Iamar's thudding hooves on the grasses seemed silent compared to the rumble and booming of the thunder. It was horrible, really, very horrible a storm it was. Nares pinned agenst her skull, she stayed close to Blue. It was almost as if she went to far ahead or lagged behind him, lightning would surley strike her. The clouds darked. It seemed they were trapped, and couldn't escape the horrid storm. Still, dispite Iamar's fears, she felt confident with Blue, that they would be fine. Perfectly fine.

Blue smiled at her, a small smile. He could tell her emotions just through the look in her eyes and how she stuck to him like a burr. He wa glad that she would come to him to stay safe. It made him feel so much better about running to her when he needed to. And he knew he would someday. Apparently your prediction that the storm wouldn't get so bad over here was wrong, he told himself. Well, whatever. Next time he'd have to know better.

Finnaly, they arrived at rocky ledge. Iamar suddenly let out a breath, that she seemed to be holding the whole time. She was relived they were almost out of the storm. She trotted under the ledge, which sheltered her from the rain, wind, and any lightning.
